Feldermusic's Most Frequently
Asked Questions

Can I send an E-mail to Don?

As a general rule, no, but there is one exception.  When there is a
"send an e-mail to Don" link, you can send a message to Don via the site.
This means whenever you fill our the form and click send, it goes to our
e-mail (not Don's) and at the deadline they are printed out and snail mailed to Don the next morning.

Is there an address I can write to Don at?

Currently there is no 'public' address for fans to write to Don at. As soon as I hear of one I'll let everyone know.

If I sent you something in the mail, could you forward it Don?

No. For security reasons, I can not accept gifts or anything you want Don to sign. I also don't want to be held accountable for other people's mail and I would like to keep my address private.

Why isn't the 'News' updated more?

That's easy because they're nothing to post:)

Why don't you have more info about the lawsuit?

As for news about the lawsuit, I think of the lawsuit as a private issue between the parties involved and don't feel an update is needed every time someone blinks. If something of major importance happens I'll add it to the news, but I prefer to have a site that Don can look over and not be bombarded with news about the lawsuit. I also did not want to have the lawsuit as the main issue motivating people to visit the site. It's only one, but one VERY publicized (and personal) part of his whole musical career. I rather have a positive site and look to his future career and not dwell on a painful event from his past.

Why did you make this site?

I have always thought Don was an undervalued member of the Eagles, he is very private and quiet, and partly because of that, he has been largely overlooked as a musician and person. Don's a very sweet, funny guy who is extremely talented and thoughtful. So I figured I'd "lead the charge" and start getting him the recognition he so rightly deserves. I wanted the site to not only to be informative, but easy to navigate and be chock full of little known facts, and rarely seen or heard video and audio clips.

Why Don't You Share All Your Photos, Articles, etc. with other sites?

Sometimes I do. The web is meant to be creative and an individual way to express/honor someone or something and all sites shouldn't have the same content. Also, there has been much time and money spent in acquiring items. Many fans that have fan sites have asked and have received scans, photos & etc. It's the 'taking' without asking that gets us a bit po'ed at times. Fans will note that at different times we have 'Exclusive Content.'

Why Don't You Link to Other Fan Sites?

There are some great sites out there honoring Don/Eagles. While others are rude and insulting and some sites even have no control over their message boards or are just bias in their views. Including profanity, assumptions that can be hurtful and unsubstantiated about Don and others, fighting and insults, just overall bad webmastering - and since a link is an endorsement, we do not want to be affiliated. So we feel it's better not to have any fan sites listed. This way there will be no favoritism by us towards any Eagles/Felder sites.

Why don't you post personal information, like about his family?

The reason I don't mention his family or go into details about his personal life is because It's really none of anyone's business. Everyone one regardless of  his/her profession is entitled to privacy. Being a musician is a profession much like any other, but at the same time it exposes you in a way many people don't feel comfortable with. Most people prefer their privacy and in the entertainment business that's not easy to do. Some web sites think since a person is in the entertainment biz, they are fair game and are not entitled to the same rights and privileges that they hold so dear. I have seen this on many sites for a variety of music, TV and film stars. I prefer to keep this as a professionally run site and not a magnet for tabloid gossip and hearsay or to post things that Don and/or I think are personal, like his family for one. The only thing I will say about Don's children are they a chip off the old block and extremely talented. 2 of Don's children are musicians. His son Cody plays drums, percussion and bass and his daughter Leah is a talented singer/musician, actress and model who has a bright future ahead of her. If anyone is interested in her career she has her own site www.leahfelder.com
