Every human on the planet is at risk of getting cancer at any time regardless of age, sex, race or the environment in which they live. It doesn't strike just one social class, it strikes them all and so far there isn't a surefire cure for cancer, though some have treatments and procedures that will delay the cancer or remove it before it spreads. Unfortunately this isn’t always successful and the patient will succumb to the cancer if it comes back. But there are some cancers that are incurable and are always fatal, such as lung cancer.
Here are some sites that are research, information or support groups for cancer victims including colon cancer which took Howard's life. Colon cancer kills more people a year than prostate or breast cancer, yet few people know about it. (I for one didn't know this until I did research for this page.)
