In 1985-86 Don was involved with a children's variety show FTV. FTV did comedy video parodies of current hit songs. Don hosted the show, wrote the show's music, performed a couple songs and even appeared in a few skits. Here are a few clips:
Some clips may take a while to upload. Also the speed of your computer will determine
how clear the video is. The faster your computer the clearer the picture:) Just thought
you should be aware of this ahead of time.
With Don Felder
This is the cast credits and
opening to the show.
Don's Entrance
With nothing to live for, Don decides to end
it all with a surprising response from on lookers below.
Nothing's worse than breaking up with a loved one,
unless of course they take a piece of you with them!
Don Sings. It's great to see him centerstage.
Three homeless ladies (or the politcally incorrect term 'bums') sit around and one of them (Pam Matterson) dreams of her long lost love 'Jimmy Mack'. Well she didn't find Jimmy, but she got a guy even better - Don Felder. He can carry me away anyday!
Don plays the drummer and has some great facial expressions.
Love his british accent:)
Two Eagles get a facelift?
Dorkette (Bridget Michele) is trying to convince her Smurf family to let
he go out with the Jolly Green Giant (Vic Dunlop)
The Smurfs (Don Felder, Stephen Bishop, Bridget Michele & John Paragon) have discovered that they are being watched.
Three monks discover harmony.
Don in a tux and dancing. Need I say more?:)
Don & Stephen trade hot licks. Guess who wins?
Don has to guess the bizarre riffs that Stephen is playing.
If he wins Stephen buys lunch.
Stephen is playing a tune from Animal House when Don appears
and plays out his favorite scene from the movie. Stephen's reaction
is priceless.
Don once again shows that he's not afraid to get silly.
Check out those clothes.
Well FTV had their own awards show and Don won an award
for being himself??????
Mozart meets the Smurfs!
Check out the secret service agent on the left!
